December 27, 2011- Jared Miller is one of four winners of the Juilliard Orchestra Composition Competition! As a winner, his orchestral work "Cartoon Music- Three Movements for Orchestra" will be premiered by the Juilliard Orchestra under Jeffrey Milarsky in February at Peter Jay Sharp Theater.

February 24, 2012- Jared Miller will be the featured "Emerging Composer" in Musikon Music Society's inaugral concert. The concert will be held at St. Mary's Art Gallery in Halifax, Nova Scotia and will consist of music inspired by the gallery's featured art installation, "6 Maidens in Search of a Porch." Music by established Canadian composers Christos Hatzis and Michael Parker will also be performed. More details to come soon.

February 27, 2012- Jeffrey Milarsky will lead the Juilliard Orchestra in the world premiere of "Cartoon Music- Three Movements for Orchestra" at Peter Jay Sharp Theater in Lincoln Center in New York, NY at 8 PM. Free tickets available from the Juilliard Box Office starting February 13.

March 15, 2012- Pianist Jason Stoll will perform Miller's "Two Preludes for Piano" in Cypress Hall at CSU Northridge in Northridge, CA at 3 PM.

March 19, 2012- Australian pianist Maxwell Foster will perform "Souvenirs d'Europe" in Morse Hall in Lincoln Center in New York, NY at 8 PM.

March 23, 2012- Jared Miller's newest piano work, "Souvenirs d'Europe" has been honoured with an ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Award. This annual competition honours the most promising composers living/studying in America under the age of 30. This year's competition attracted nearly 700 entries from across the USA.

March 30, 2012- Pianist Jason Stoll will perform Miller's "Two Preludes for Piano" in Paul Hall in Lincoln Center in New York, NY at 8 PM.

May 12, 2012- Jared Miller will perform in a concert of solo and duo piano works with internationally renowned pianists Sara Davis Buechner and Michael Brown at the Greenwich House School Auditorium in New York, NY. More details to come soon.

May 26, 2012- Evan Mitchell will lead the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony in the Ontario premiere of "2010 Traffic Jam for Large Orchestra" at the Center in the Square in Kitchener Ontario at 2:30 PM.

February 4-8, 2013- The Toronto Symphony Orchestra will play Miller's "2010 Traffic Jam" six times in their elementary school concert series. More information coming soon!

August 23, 2011- Jacqueline Chong's short film "Brain Juice" (original score by Jared Miller) will be viewed at the Montreal World Film Festival/Festival des Films du Monde de Montreal at Cinema ONF Theatre in Montreal, QC. Congratulations Jacqueline!

July 14, 2011- Jared Miller wins a SOCAN Young Composers Award for his solo piano composition, "Instincts." This annual competition awards Canada's most promising composers under the age of 32. June 3, 2011- Jared Miller performs piano works by Gershwin, Ginastera, Schubert, Corigliano, Adler and himself at "A New York Tasting Menu with Jared Miller." Recital will be followed by a delicious New York-inspired reception. Tickets are $10 (Students/Seniors/Artists) and $20 (General.) Tom Lee Music Hall in Vancouver, BC at 8 PM.

May 21, 2011- Jared Miller recieves the John Koerner Award in the Fine and Performing Arts! This prestigious grant is given to a promising BC artist who is in the process of completing their artistic studies.

April 29-30, 2011- World premiere of Canadian filmmaker, Jacqueline Chong's short film, "Brain Juice," with an original score composed by Jared Miller. The film will be premiered at Granville 7 Cinemas in downtown Vancouver as part of the UBC Persistence of Vision Film Festival.

April 25, 2011- Conductor Sara Kidd will lead music students of the Juilliard School in the world premiere of Miller's "Sinfonia 9.0 for Fifteen Musicians" at Paul Hall in Lincoln Center in New York, NY at 8 PM. The work is dedicated to the victims and survivors of the recent 9.0 magnitude earthquake in Japan.

April 18, 2011- The Juilliard Orchestra will read through an orchestral version of Miller's new work, "Sinfonia 9.0" under conductor, Jeffrey Millarsky at the Juilliard School in New York. Begins at 9:30 PM in room 543.

April 2, 2010- Pianist, Sunny Qu will perform Miller's "Instincts" at 8 PM at the Roy Barnett Recital at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada

March 30, 2011- Pianist, Jing Yang will perform Miller's first mash-up for piano, "L'escalier de la feuille d'erable" at 8 PM at Morse Hall in Lincoln Center in New York, NY.

March 30, 2011- World premiere of Miller's "Caprice for Violin and Piano," performed by Francisco Fullana (violin) and Dan Kurland (piano) 4 PM at Paul Hall in Lincoln Center in New York, NY

March 24, 2011- Pianist, Ben Laude will perform the New York Premiere of Miller's "Two Preludes for Piano" at 6 PM at Paul Hall in Lincoln Center in New York, NY.

March 21, 2011- Jared Miller composition concert at 8 PM at Morse Hall in Lincoln Center in New York, NY. The concert will feature the world premiere of Miller's first mash-up for piano, "L'escalier de la feuille d'erable" (Jing Yang, piano) as well as a performance of Miller's "Aftermath" for String Quartet and several other of his piano and chamber compositions.

March 21, 2011- World premiere of Miller's "Feverish Dream" for Woodwind Quartet at 7:30 PM at Katzin Hall in Tempe, AZ. The piece will be premiered by Ian Smith (alto saxophone), Jonathan Robinson (clarinet), Joseph Kleusner (bassoon) and Laura Kerrick (French horn.)

February 10, 2011- Jared Miller wins First Prize in the American Protege International Piano Competition! As recipient of this honor, he will make his Carnegie Hall debut performing his own music on March 6!

July 11, 2010- The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra performs "2010 Traffic Jam" at 7:30 PM at a FREE concert in Deer Lake Park in Burnaby, BC

June 19-20 2010- Jared and 5 other pianists, in collaboration with Tom Lee Music take turns playing piano for 24 hours as part of the Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay for the Kids. All funds raised go to help BC's disabled children attend Easter Seals Summer Camps! Come by Swangard Stadium in Burnaby between 10 AM on the 19th and 10 AM on the 20th to say hello and listen to some music!

November 23, 2009- Miller gives the preview performance of "Instincts" for solo piano at the UBC School of Music in Vancouver, BC at 12 noon. The piece was commissioned by Sara Davis Buechner and will be premiered in January 2010.

October 31, 2009- Miller performs Liszt's "Paganini Etude No. 6 in a minor" at the UBC School of Music Recital Hall in Vancouver, BC at 7 PM

July 23, 2009- Miller premieres his "Ascending the Kuniisii Forest" for solo piano at the New Vancouver Convention Center in Vancouver, BC at 12 noon. The piece was commissioned by Tom Lee Music Vancouver for the unveiling of the first Steinway artcase piano decorated with Haida Artwork.
